An account of holdings of Greater Shalast

An account of holdings of Greater Shalast

These gnome-sized copies, transcribed from the original giant-sized volumes, are a series of maps and ledgers. Most of the maps are of landmasses that no longer exist. Mountains that are now flat-lands, flat-lands that are now filled with great seas; the world was undone and these pages show the world before, giving it name and showing its people.

An account of holdings of Greater Shalast is a great census of part of the empire of Karzoug before its fall. It focuses primarily on Xin-Shalast and the settlements around Mhar Massif; the greatest mountain of the land. This mountain of legendary proportions pierces the skies and lies at the headwaters of the sacred river Alph—which Varisian folklore says leads to a earthly paradise sacred to Desna.
